The Kid Project Community Childcare Center is a collaboration with The Michael & Jean Knepper Center. We believe every child deserves a strong start. Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable childcare for children ages six weeks to twelve years, in an environment that nurtures their total well-being. We are proud to be a licensed childcare center in the Dyersville area, serving our community with dedication and care.
We welcome all families—regardless of race, religion, age, disability, or national origin—and are committed to helping each child build a healthy foundation that will serve them for a lifetime.

Founded in 1989, The Kid Project Child Care Center was created to provide affordable, dependable childcare for families in the Dyersville community. What began as a local effort has grown into a trusted resource that now serves over 165 children and their families each year. Rooted in our mission, we continue to thrive on the values of care, inclusivity, and community support, ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and belong.

To promote a child’s intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth by providing developmentally appropriate learning activities.

To encourage each child’s self-esteem and independence by inviting that child to explore his/her world and to master self-help skills.

At our daycare, we want every parent to feel confident that their child is safe, cared for, and supported while in our care. From the moment your little one walks through our doors, we create a welcoming environment where you can ask questions, seek guidance, and feel fully supported. Our goal is to make each child’s experience positive and nurturing, giving both you and your child peace of mind throughout the day.
